1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of justuss.com (the "Site"), operated by Justuss ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, creating an account, or submitting any content, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Not Legal Advice

Justuss is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal representation. Information on the Site — including judge ratings, AI-generated responses, articles, forms, and community posts — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Use of the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Justuss, or between you and any attorney who advertises, posts, or participates on the Site.

You should consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction regarding your specific legal situation before taking any action.

3. AI Tools

The Site includes AI-powered tools ("Justuss AI" for Attorney Members and the public-facing legal information assistant) that generate responses using artificial intelligence. These tools are research and informational aids only. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional legal judgment. Attorney Members using Justuss AI are responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it or communicating it to clients. Public users are advised that AI-generated information is not legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship.

4. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site. By creating an account, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

Attorney Members: Attorney accounts require a valid California State Bar number, which must correspond to the name provided at sign-up and be verified against the California State Bar's public records. Providing false bar information, or using an account to misrepresent your license status, is grounds for immediate termination and may be reported to the State Bar.

5. Judge Ratings & Reviews

Judge ratings, reviews, and comments reflect the personal opinions of individual Site users based on their own experiences. Justuss does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of any rating or review, and does not independently investigate the claims made within them. Ratings and reviews are not statements of fact by Justuss. Judges or other individuals who believe a review is false, defamatory, or violates these Terms may contact us to report it for review.

6. User-Generated Content

Certain areas of the Site (including but not limited to Talk, Court Buddies, Mock Juries, judge reviews, and the Lawyer-to-Lawyer forum) allow users to post content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but by posting it you grant Justuss a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and reproduce it on the Site.

You agree not to post User Content that:

• Is false, defamatory, harassing, or threatening;
• Violates any third party's privacy, intellectual property, or other legal rights;
• Is unlawful, fraudulent, or promotes illegal activity;
• Impersonates any person or entity;
• Contains spam, solicitation, or unauthorized advertising.

We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, remove, or restrict access to any User Content at our sole discretion.

7. Attorney Membership & Billing

Attorney Members pay a recurring monthly membership fee to access Attorney Member features. By subscribing, you authorize Justuss (via our payment processor, Stripe) to automatically charge your payment method on file each billing cycle until you cancel.

Cancellation: You may cancel your membership at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle; you will retain access through that period, and no further charges will be made afterward. Fees already paid are non-refundable except as required by law.

We reserve the right to change membership pricing with advance notice. Continued use of the Site after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

8. Advertising & Paid Listings

The Site includes paid advertisements and listings from attorneys, law firms, and independent service providers (including Law 101 articles and the Service Providers directory). These are paid placements. Justuss does not vet, endorse, investigate, or guarantee the qualifications, licensing, quality, or reliability of any advertiser or listed provider. Advertisements are clearly labeled and do not reflect the opinions or recommendations of Justuss. You are responsible for independently verifying the credentials of any attorney or service provider before engaging their services.

9. Mock Juries

Mock Jury sessions are arranged directly between attorneys and participants through the Site. Justuss facilitates the connection but is not a party to any resulting engagement or payment arrangement. Compensation, scheduling, and participation terms are the responsibility of the attorney and participant to arrange and confirm independently.

10. Court Buddies & Service Referrals

Court Buddies is a community mutual-aid board where users may post or respond to requests for informal help or paid gig work related to court processes. Justuss does not screen, background-check, or vet users who post or respond on Court Buddies, and is not a party to any arrangement made between users. Exercise independent judgment and caution when engaging with any individual through this feature.

11. Intellectual Property

The Site, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and software (excluding User Content), is owned by Justuss and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site without our prior written consent.

12. No Scraping or Automated Access

All content on the Site — including judge ratings, reviews, articles, listings, and data — is copyrighted and owned by Justuss or its licensors. You may not use any robot, spider, scraper, data-mining tool, or other automated means to access, copy, extract, or index any portion of the Site or its content without our express prior written permission. Unauthorized scraping, republication, or bulk extraction of Site content is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination, legal action, and pursuit of damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, forms, or services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED OUTPUT, ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JUSTUSS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO RELIANCE ON JUDGE RATINGS, AI-GENERATED CONTENT, ADVERTISEMENTS, OR ARRANGEMENTS MADE WITH OTHER USERS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO JUSTUSS, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Justuss, its officers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Site, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

17. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Site or other users.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
